Up to the Grand St. Bernard Pass.

I love going up there to look down into Italy and the frozen lake on the other side (extra). The skin (walk on skis) up, was icy, but bizarrely, we were alone, and at the Pass we were alone for 20 mins listening to the silence, there was not even any wind! Some people arrived and we skied down, again alone. As this is one of the most popular and accessible ski tours in the Alps, we could not quite believe how few people we had seen! A wonderful day out.
