It has been awful to read about the military coup in Myanmar (Burma).  The military seized control on 1 February claiming fraud in last November's elections that saw a decisive victory for Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy party. She was 'detained' and has not been seen since.  Hundreds have been killed in the mass demonstrations  against the coup.  Soldiers are randomly shooting passers-by, including children, to create a climate of fear.

We visited Myanmar in 2017 seeing so many wonderful places.  There was so much hope for a better future.
