Snakeshead Fritillary

A bit of a shock to the system getting up for an early dentist appointment for a broken tooth, but hopefully it’s sorted. Quite dull weather wise this morning but it really brightened up for playing tennis this afternoon - hurrah for tennis and sunshine! I’m expecting to feel it tomorrow!
Strange-I wasn’t hopeful of finding wildflowers so early, but it turns out all I needed was a bit of encouragement to look, apart from the wood anemone I found them all in the garden - and just this one beautiful snakes head radiant in the afternoon sun like a lantern glowing - isn’t nature just wonderful
