But it is a Tuesday!

The roads were clogged with slow moving cars, trying to get past the very many cyclists, and every car park was full, with parked cars spilling out onto adjacent roads. This green area at the top of Box Hill is usually quiet, but not today, there were lots of groups of picnickers. The outdoor seating area at the cafe was packed with people. The only empty car park we saw was at Effingham Station! No commuters these days. Everybody was out making the most of the beautiful warm sunny day.
N needed to move my car this morning to get his golf equipment from the back of the garage, but found that the battery was flat. Hardly surprising, it hasn’t been out since the middle of January. The AA came to the rescue, and it was decided the car needed to go for a long run to boost the battery. Starved of days out of the house, I went along for the ride. It was my suggestion to go up Box Hill! Afterwards we went on the M25 to give the car a stretch of fast motoring. The motorway was very busy too, but I was attracted by the blackthorn on the banks. (Extra);
I have enjoyed the two days of almost summer weather, and have managed to do some useful tidying in the garden. Progress!
