A carpet of Lesser Celandine

A great day to be outdoors. We packed our sandwiches and set off on a circular tour in the sunshine. Lunch was by the river Wharfe in Boston Spa. We then took a short detour to the recently reopened viaduct over the River at Newton Kyme (today's extra).
On the way back in the woods by the river near Knaresborough, this carpet of Celandine (or Ficaria verna) looked rather spectacular in the sunshine so this one got the vote for today's main blip.
