Pulsatilla vulgaris

Today the first flowers opened  on one of my  Pulsatilla  (pasque flower) plants.
It was very  warm (over 22 C) and  we got quite hot working in the garden.
Pleased to see some a few bee flies and ladybirds. I finally planted the  Mill on the Floss rose which Angie (a patient) gave me on my retirement last year. It is a pink flowered, David Austin, shrub rose. Fingers crossed I will be able to send her a photo of it in bloom this summer!
