Need to go back to the drawing board

After yesterday's blip where I was wanting to shoot a macro  focus stack but cold not do it outside because of the wind, decided to bring a single specimen inside to try a stack with a still life bloom. Although I took a 24 image stack you can see that there is only sharpness about halfway into the bloom. I need to practice probably with a more sharply defined image to improve my technique.
