Hoover problem

For years we have had a wireless doorbell plugged in to a single socket on our landing.  This is the only handily accessible socket so every time the cleaner or one of us hoovers upstairs we have to unplug the doorbell, then remember to plug it back in.  Sometimes someone forgets, and we miss callers at the door.  I have no idea why it took me so long to think of replacing it with a double socket, but once the thought finally occurred to me I got the new box and socket delivered in a couple of days, and CyclopsJnr and I did the replacement in less than half an hour this afternoon.  He was quite fascinated by the whole operation.
