What a treat!

Al said he arranged for the pileated woodpecker to come around and surprise me for my birthday!
As I was getting dressed, I noticed a flash of red way down by the lake, and there he was!!
Obviously this photo is cropped and through a window, but he was too gorgeous to pass up today.  The frame is actually two of the rails on our deck.  It totally made my morning special!!
