Against the old byre wall.

When the family came here over 48 years ago, it was a rather tumbledown, dusty, straw-filled building full of a neighbour's ponies, and the other buildings round the courtyard included a grain dryer which gave us grief each autumn with the noise of the machinery and the thousands of tiny black flies/beetles that appeared over everything as a result.

Now it's The Steading and is home to families and retired professionals with very clean cars.
