Why Walk When You Can Ride?

I've seen a few of these one-wheeled motorized skateboards around town, but this is the first time I've spotted one on the beach. The guy didn't seem shy about getting it wet and sandy, but when I looked it up I saw that these things can cost $1,800!  If it were me, I'd probably be a little more careful with something that expensive, but if it were me I wouldn't be trying to balance on a moving board either.
