Shiny things...

I found some old rings today, stuffed away in an old jewellery box I haven't opened in years. Bespoke one-offs, too small for my fingers now, but seeing them reminded me how much I once loved them, so I've put them on a necklace.

They were made by a jeweller in the town where I spent my youth. He called himself Woden and, along with his Spiritual Partner, to whom he'd been joined in flower-filled Pagan ceremony - alas, I forget her chosen name - crafted beautiful, original designs. They were lovely people, peaceful, contemplative.

We need eccentrics in life. The world would be so horribly dull without them.
