Cammo

Out for a walk in the sunshine and amazingly out first visit to the Cammo estate. That was at the end of our ‘figure of eight’ wander though as we walked right past the entrance first time as we headed down to Turnhouse and then back along the banks of the Almond. There’s more wild garlic (bear garlic, bärlauch) beside the river than I’ve ever seen in my life; a large bag of it is now sitting in the fridge waiting to be turned into pesto! The picture is the estate’s old water tower, really the only building left standing. A few extras from the walk are thrown in including a hillock of bärlauch.
