East Balmain

Today we caught a ferry to East Balmain where we had lunch with friends at The Fenwick, terrific restaurant right by the water in a heritage building which used to be a tug boat company. We had some time to spare before so we wandered up the main street, still full of old buildings but all renovated, except the facade of the Euforia Cafe with its derelict signs. It's hard to read but the top sign says 'Pharmacy' while the lower one says 'Shelleys Famous Drinks'.

The extra is the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the sunset, taken from Circular Quay station, à propos of nothing, not derelict, just a bit pretty.

Thanks for hosting Marlieske. Stay well all.
