Life through the lens...

Easter Sunday

Woke to a beautiful sunny morning.
Not to be fooled though as the wind was bitterly cold.

After a late breakfast I watched the return of Beech Grove. What an absolute delight.

Then a phone call and a surprise visit from our eldest grandson and his partner.
Wrapped up well we spent a happy time sat out in the garden having a good catchup.
The last time we saw them both was at Christmas, and now it is only 5 weeks before the baby is due.
As well as chocolate Easter bunnies we were able to give them the Ergobaby baby carrier which we had bought for the new arrival.
I feel so sorry for Katie as she has had to spend all the time at home and not been able to enjoy mixing with family and friends. No anti natal classes with other mums to be.
Still fortunately we are now on the road out of lockdown and lots to look forward to. Happy Days ahead.

Now watching one of my favourite films Easter Parade. I now find the old ones are the best! Must be an age thing!

Honeyed Leg of Lamb with roast vegetables for our meal tonight as an Easter treat.
As I can now have a drink it will be a bottle of Cote de Rhone red, Les Cardinaux.
A simple strawberries and ice cream to follow.
First this year. Hope they taste as good as they look.

So Happy Easter to you all. Hope you enjoy today.
The wreath is one I saw on a nearby house.
Thought it a lovely idea.
