Shag #3

I have to apologise that I have become a little obsessed with the shags this year.  This one, in particular, is one I photograph regularly.  Like most of the females she has built a nest in readiness for the mating season.  

Judging by her efforts, and those of others nesting nearby, it has to be said that shags are not very nest-proud.  Clearly she pays more attention to her plumage as she preens herself to attract a mate.
