Comma Butterfly Goathill Woods

We got up late today then set off on a walk from our house through Goathill Woods with Stan to collect some wild garlic . It still wasn’t in flower but we collected two bagfuls of leaves which were interspersed with bluebells . It was really quiet in the woods - we only met a couple of groups walking . This Vomma landed on the path near us to enjoy the sun - we also saw a brimstone butterfly and some deer.
 I took a flask of coffee and some hot cross buns . Delish ! 

We did about five miles - I found the last mile tiring .
I had a couple of phone calls then planted seeds - cosmos, sweet peas, and borage . 
Enjoyed ‘Line of Duty ‘ this evening. Jed Mercurio certainly can write  a good script ! 
Stan made Garlic salt and some pesto .
Hope everyone has had a happy Easter and managed to see friends or family .
