Bonds of Friendship

The chain link sculpture in Portsmouth, blipped by johnparke last Tuesday, has a companion piece in Sydney. Both commemorate the First Fleet of 11 ships, six carrying convicts, that sailed from Portsmouth to Sydney in 1787. Portsmouth’s has a dull painted surface, Sydney’s brass.

I've gone for detail too as, frankly, ours looks like a polished turd.
