Young heron

Today's walk: Lodge Lake, Milton Keynes.

Saw four herons flying over within two minutes of getting there!

Extra: Adult heron.

Update on the grebes nesting on the lake (see here): the nest is still there and much neater. She seems to sitting firmly on the eggs while he goes fishing.
