Graffiti in Bridge-of-Allan?

Well, I must confess to being somewhat surprised to discover that our Victorian spa town, Bridge-of-Allan, was hosting a graffiti day inviting members of the public to come forward and display their artistic skills.

But it was all in a good cause.

Its all to promote Fair-trade and in order to get recognized as a Fair-trade town the local community have launched a Fair-trade Fortnight which kicked off last Saturday with people drawing on the pavements.

Rest assured though it is all in the very best of taste: one may even say so discreet that I bet the majority of folk are unaware its there at all.

These minor "interventions", done in chalk, wash out in the rain.

Hopefully, along with other events taking place, they will help the town to gain the status of a "Fair-trade Town."

And that's a very good cause.
