All carriages (excluding farm equipment) in Germany are driven on the "wrong side", i.e. the driver sitting on the right inside. Carriage driving is very regulated based on the rules set by the German (Prussian) Benno von Achenbach (1861-1936) and it is now the gold standard for driving worldwide. He learnt his craft from an Englishman in Paris!
