Garden tulip

I haven’t been out today as we were waiting to have a visit by our house developer’s representative. Our back garden is terraced using log rolls and after less than 7 years here they are beginning to rot. Some high log rolls in our garden hold up our neighbours’ garage. The outcome of the meeting was that the estimated cost of repair will be In the region of £25K and the cost will be chased from the builders’ liquidator because the builder went bust a few years ago. It means ripping up our back garden as they will need to bring in a machine (there are steps to negotiate) and we will have to lift a lot of plants. The log rolls were not suitable for the way they have been used and not installed properly. My husband thinks they have both wet rot and dry rot. Hopefully my acer trees won’t be damaged, they are the most expensive plants in the garden. I also have a hexagonal greenhouse in the garden and two large trees which would all need to be negotiated around.
We had a light smattering of snow first thing.
