La Niña lockdown cont....

The belting rain has continued so an indoor Blip again.

This is a painting by an Aboriginal artist Minne Pwerle from Central Australia. We lived in Alice Springs for 17 years before coming to the coast and met some great artists.

Minnie was in her 70s before she started painting and her main subject matter was the breasts of the women painted for ceremonial dances.

We have this painting hanging in our entrance and love it. We had house sitters for a period of 6 months when we were overseas and they were offended by it and moved it to another less prominent part of the house! We didn’t ask them to sit again.
