Chinese box

Whilst out in town, Izzy saw this box in the window and wanted to look at it closely. We saw it wasn’t very expensive because it needed a repair to a door hinge.
Inside there are tiny drawers and one has a secret compartment. Izzy fell in love with it and so now I will be repairing it for her.
Underneath it says it was made in the republic of China. We remember seeing such things on one of our trips there many years ago.
