Big safe door

Started on 5 day's training for accreditation as a mediator, which is taking place in the old Prudential Insurance building on Holborn in London. So expect the next four working days also to feature shots from this stunning building.

This is from the lower ground floor where the canteen is. The Pru used to have a big old muniment room with impressive safe doors on by Messers Chubb. The muniment room has gone but they've kept the safe doors as a feature and given them a high old shine. The BIG big door was the main entrance, this smaller big door was the emergency exit one. It's hard to tell the scale from this shot, but I would say the safe door is probably nine foot from top to bottom - truly massive.
