Black-headed Gull

This black-headed hull was swimming around the pond at Johnston Gardens in Aberdeen when I visited this morning.

As summer approaches adult black-headed gulls’ heads darken in colour  to chocolate-brown not black, although it does look black from a distance.  This one must be hoping that summer will be along soon!
