Looking Out for the Coming of Mischa&Dolf

In the course of this day, little changes, clean and empty places are appearing all over this wintery-springtime-wintery home. This morning Mischa gently informed me that it would be less costly to stay a bit longer here. That means two days instead of one: so we happily may expect to meet again here early Saturday evening instead of Sunday. It is not a must to clean up this place completely inside and outside. But with a bit more social imagination, where your guests wil have to fit in. And not stumble on the dirty remnants of Grumpy Old Dad. Which, by the way, I am not. Well, old…ok. Am I? Sometimes when carrying heavy things, or looking to political scenery in the US or Holland.
But I feel young spiritually at least and grumpy, no. Well you have these little irritations now and then. When you discover that you cannot get your credit back on your expired trainchipcard. Because of Covid-restrictions the last time we travelled by train to Holland is almost 18 months ago.  Almost forgot We had those cards. Mine apparently expired a week ago. Stupido, I could have searched and checked, because I received a warning email ten days before expiration date…Check your mailbox, Old Chap! Without delay and now you pay.
A bit irritated about my own carelessness. But definitely not Grumpy. So, back to the nearing of Mischa&Dolf short stay over here. First we all will have to test negative. So, tomorrow we will have the quicktest, assumingly negative. If not, there is enough time to accomodate our plans. But they are going to come. Unless the Dutch border will be closed suddenly. I can feel anticipatoiry pleasure, expecting finally Our Post-Eastern Table-Joining. I still have some small Eastern Suprises. Hopefully the weather will facilitate the use our outdoor familytable.
