Nerves of steel

I watched these young men take down some of our neighbour’s trees this morning despite it blowing a howling gale.

They have nerves of steel. See extra. (The trees were already diseased and in danger of falling.)

This afternoon was taken up with a visit to Forth Valley hospital where Malcolm had been referred by his GP.
It turned out to be a false alarm but interestingly the consultation took less than ten minutes – after a wait of nearly a year- and it was carried out by a man who was neither an ordinary nurse nor a surgeon, but a new breed of nurse who also performs minor surgery.
