Beetle

Mum driving our VW Beetle which we had bought back from Germany by ship. I don't remember which year. Dad had a Land Rover.

I know it was well built. One year I closed the door with my thumb in the way and have always had a slightly deformed/marked finger after that extraordinarily painful event. The doctor had to burn a hole through the nail to release the pressure.
