Brown Hare

I was walking along the road to Marwick when I saw this hare in a field. It seemed to be following, or searching for, a scent, so I think it may be a male that was searching for a female. He loped onto the road and was quite close before he noticed me. Even then, he wasn't too bothered and went into the field to continue his search (extra) On Marwick Head I had another nice meeting with one of the resident ravens (2nd extra). I will know this hare again from the tremendous notch in its left ear.
