Grindon and Manifold Way Walk

We started our walk in the village of Grindon in The Peak District. The walk took in views of Thor's Cave and a route along the Manifold Way.

From the images you can see it was a glorious day. They were taken looking both up and down the valley.

We were treated to a friendly encounter with a couple of Shetland ponies who wanted us to stay all day and pet them. And we did a bit of a sheep rescue too. We came a cross a ewe on her back in a tractor tyre rut. We did manage to roll her onto her feet in spite of a bit of kicking going on! She seemed quite relieved and so were her triplets.
