Surprise in the garden

I visited our garden today to see how the asparagus were coming along. I was surprised to see that our strawberry plant had been partially destroyed and the dirt around it had been disturbed. That’s when I discovered the duck egg! There are lots of ducks in our area and it is nesting time. There were no ducks in sight when I found the egg.
Oh and the asparagus are starting to come up as you can see in the extras.
