Lennox Castle

Sunday morning circular walk of about 4 miles from the main  street in Lennoxtown up to Lennox Castle and back, bright sunshine and clear skies.
The castle was built in the 1830’s for the Kincaid Lennox family but became part of a large psychiatric hospital which opened in 1936. It closed in 2002 and the now abandoned building is slowly crumbling away.
