Hic!

It is amazing what an admittedly large glass of Bailey’s Irish cream can do to one’s ability to type on the small screen of an IPhone. Spell Check has been having a field day!

An unexpected visit this afternoon from Porty daughter who had walked the 5 miles to see me, elicited something more than a cup of coffee and a biscuit to see her walk back home into the teeth of a transient snow storm.

With the day dawning on the other side of the blinds white with frost, I gave the cycling wake up call a miss and went walk about instead. By breakfast time the sun has warmed the grass and melted the frost and coffee was had with two friends looking out on a scene of peace and tranquility bathed in sunshine .
People arrived to sit on the grass and the benches but so did the police and their vans checking against any thuggish incomers. Their approach seems to be working.

Just after lunch the clouds appeared and the scene now looks cold and uninviting. However Bailey’s has made all difference, giving me rose coloured spectacles with which to view the world. I am delighted to know that there are another 2 bottles left over from Christmas to fortify me until this cold spell is over.
