A Day In The Life

Nibbler

I saw several songbirds, including this red-breasted nuthatch, nibbling on new tree buds today. Typically they don’t eat enough to do any harm, and I’ve read tree buds give them nutrients that seeds and suet can’t offer. It’s likely all the rage today because they’ve suddenly appeared after a few days of unusual warmth. Today we’ve returned to more normal April temperatures, perfect for continuing our yard work this week • The warmth has furthered the daffodils and other spring perennials along too. I predict a flower blip in my future soon :) whether it’s Friday or not! • Today’s been a putter around kind of day, doing a little here and a little there. The good news is that dinner is made, ready to go, for when MrsP says she’s hungry • Hard to believe another weekend is coming to a close. Where does the time go?
