Radway

Another day, another village.  This afternoon it was the Warwickshire village of Radway, nestled below Edge Hill renowned for the English civil war Battle of Edgehill.  The nearest pub is at the top of the hill, The Castle, originally called Inniskilling Dragon when it opened in 1871.

We had a good walk round the village and the local church, St Peter.  In the church they have a permanent exhibition of the battle and the impact on the local community.  Unfortunately  the church is closed to the public due to covid.

The photo is of the folly-cum-pub, with horses.

We watched another 90s classic this evening - Thelma and Louise. Great stuff!
