Love is in the air

You know that Spring can't be far away when the old tank traps start to breed. Tank traps are a very long-lived species and they don't become sexually mature until they reach 70 odd years of age. This couple were born in 1941 and are now in their prime. Over the last few days they have started their elaborate courtship display in which they rise out of the sand and lean over to touch each other in a very tender manner. Not many people have seen this and I have it on good authority that David Attenborough and his camera crew are at this very moment heading north to film this rare event.
