Ted Ashby

My husband volunteers at the New Zealand Maritime Museum every Saturday, when he is lucky enough to go sailing on the replica scow, the Ted Ashby.  The Ted Ashby sails twice a day, every day (unless the weather prevents it), except on Mondays.  So, today, a number of volunteers and their partners were treated to a trip on the Ted Ashby to the Torpedo Bay Navy Museum beneath North Head.  There we were taken on a one hour tour of the museum after which we were free to have lunch in the Torpedo Bay Cafe before the trip back to base on the other side of the harbour.  The morning started with mist and drizzle, but the day gradually improved and we actually got some sunshine in the afternoon.  It was a lovely treat.
