Hose Mending

I wasn't rushing to the shops or the pub - in fact I haven't been rushing anywhere, despite it being a lovely day.

I have spent a lot of time reorganising my room - trying to get all the fabrics, threads, and general sewing stuff in some sort of order. Of course in doing so I came across things that I just had to look at! 

Amongst my stuff I have quite a lot of things that my mother used. This is a collection of things used for mending. I just can't imagine mending nylon stockings or darning socks, but obviously my mother did these things.
