Kauri Museum

Away for a few days to the Kauri coast region about three hours north west of Auckland.  We called in at the Kauri museum in Matakohe on the way.  A fascinating set of exhibits both working and static about the Kauri milling in the area and the lives of the early settlers.  In extras a few examples of the rooms including some mannequins which are modelled on the descendents of the original settlers.  In catch-up mode so more to follow.
