Sunshine brings snow melt

Today we went for an off piste ski and walked up using skins. The weather was so hot, we only just managed to ski some powder that was quickly turning to slush, hard work! Amazing day and well worth the climb.
On return these drips off the chalet were catching the sunset and caught my attention. They've drilled the big hole in the snow beneath them which just showed how hot it was today, there is snow melt everywhere!
