Birds in Flight

It was cold and blustery at the beach today while I waited for my husband to collect shells to bring home to our grandson.  The seagulls were the only other creatures out.  I figured I might as well practice catching birds in flight, including this Herring Gull carrying lunch.  In order to get to the good stuff, the gulls fly over the parking lot, or rocks, and drop the shell.  Who taught them about the force of gravity?  I've included the drop in extras, before the gull swooped down to pick up the tasty morsel from the shell bits.
