Not so cute!!

Being unfamiliar with our wildlife my first thoughts were, oh cute beavers!!

Nope, they are coypu or nutria's as they call them here.
They resemble a very large rat, or a beaver with a small tail. They have a coarse, darkish brown outer fur with a soft dense grey under-fur.

In other words a river rat, eek!!
