Watch the Birdies

It turned out a lovely morning so we made a decision to visit Bempton cliffs. During lock down I have been pining for a trip to the coast. At 25 miles I felt it was justifiable. It was reasonably busy but there was plenty of space to socially distanced ourselves. Having visited before I had an idea of where to look. Quite a few of the cliffs were in shade but the platforms to the south of the visitors centre came up trumps. Lots of Guillemots and if you looked carefully the odd Puffin. I had to be patient to get a glimpse of a Puffin. This one kept ducking into the niche and I spent a lot of time looking at its nether regions!

Managed a coffee and flapjack sitting outside before returning home for lunch.
