G is for ...

It's time for Things In My House Thursday.

Today, G is for gardening jumper.

Whilst a lot of my gardening knowledge, and certainly my gardening style (lavish attention on the vegetables and leave everything else to its own devices) comes from my Mum, my gardening jumper comes from my Dad. Knitted by my Granny about 40 years ago, I remember my Dad wearing this during my childhood and young adulthood.  Eventually it ended up with me and became my gardening jumper - the red patches are repairs I've done. 

I love clothes and I particularly love clothes with a history.  Who knows maybe I'll pass it onto my niece one day, so it can go through the hands of a fourth generation of the family.
