I see no ships . . .

I had occasion to visit RNAS Yeovilton today; I had found some flying suits that were new enough, I thought, to be still usable by aircrew, so I went and found Clothing Stores.  They didn't want my old USAF flying suit (fair enough), nor the longjohns still in their packet (not fire retardant when I was issued with them) and the newish British flying suit would be recycled for cadets.  I was surprised, but at least it will still be useful.

This lady was looking a little battered but was the figurehead in front of the HQ of HMS Heron.  I didn't think much of the architecture of the building, but this figurehead was a graceful addition, I thought.
