It's only flat at the bottom.......

One of those days today, though the weather was sunny and dry again.
Went next door for a load of silage as the pit here is done, but found wee brother's tractor was sitting with a flat tyre. So had to bring one of our loader tractors across to load me and put silage bales in to his cows.
Redpath tyres came out to fix things but couldn't find a home, blew the tyre up and left. A mystery, unless someone has been playing silly buggers during the night.
Back home to bag up sheep feeding, bruise a batch of cattle feeding then finish off spreading slurry in yesterday's field .
Had to go next door tonight to help wee brother bring in a newly calved cow as the calf hadn't sucked.
She was a bad tempered nut job to out it politely. Managed to get the bike and trailer between her and the calf eventually so wee brother could reach out and haul the calf in then took off with her in hot persuit. When we got her into the cattle crush to milk her out to feed the calf she was just plain nasty . Tried a bucket of feed in front of her but that got tossed against the wall straight away. Eventually got some milk . The only good thing was the calf sucked the bottle fine.
Hopefully it will get the idea by its self, if not it will be the same carry on tomorrow.
She might not see the bull again as we are both getting too old for this carry on !
The joys.
