A walk in the woods

Had a wonderful walk around Earl’s Hill this morning and noticed just how many wild flowers there were. As children we would regularly go out for walks and would take our I-Spy book of wild flowers with us or The Observer book of wild Flowers and would see how many flowers we could recognise.
I don’t think this is something that children do nowadays.
Today we saw white wood anemones, violets, bluebells, primroses, wild garlic, Jack in the Hedge, celandines, speedwell, Dog’s Mercury and many others as well. I guess I’m showing my age.
