A Little Late

When l went to YorkGate yesterday l had to pass the little church at Adel, couldn’t help but be entranced by all the daffodils.
Second shift there today so l went a little earlier to walk around the grounds.
The daffodils were definitely past their best but still made a stunning display.
The Norman church was built between 1150 and 1170 and has had some alterations and repairs over the centuries but it is a little gem.
I wanted to show the church as my blip but l personally prefer the extra as it was such a joy to walk around.
Enjoyed my second stint at the open garden , this time doing ‘meet and great ‘ for all visitors.
As it was outside l didn’t have to wear a mask unlike yesterday. I haven’t spoken to so many different people since l don’t know when.
Have a little summerhouse to sit in but only used it to eat and drink my Bakewell tart and flat white.
Very pleased that when l visited the plant sales after l had finished , l managed not to buy anything, even though l was tempted.
Won’t be back there for a couple of weeks now.
Already looking forward to it.
