Purton Green Farmhouse

It belongs to the "Landmark Trust" a conservation charity, founded in 1965 by Sir John and Lady Smith, that rescues buildings of historic interest or architectural merit and then makes them available for holiday rental. This isolated house is near the village of Stansfield, Suffolk and is on a footpath walk that we have done a number of times. It sleeps 4 and can be rented for 4 nights at a time for £244. Parts of the building date back to 1250AD. You have to park your car 400 yards away and transfer your belongings up a grassy side of a field using wheelbarrows that are provided.
